Fultondale Arts Council to host Holiday Home Tour | al.com

FULTONDALE, Alabama - The Fultondale Arts Council will host its First Annual Holiday Home Tour Dec. 9 to raise money for arts programs offered throughout the year.

"We have beautiful homes on the tour and each of the homes has its own unique theme to celebrate the holidays," said Leenise Gaddy, vice president of Iberiabank and event co-chair. "We are very grateful to each of the owners who have opened their homes for to help thiswonderful cause."

Three Fultondale homes are on the tour, including the home of Mayor Jim Lowery and his wife Blanche. The theme for the Lowery home is "Family Holiday." Other themes include "Christmas Memories" at the Leipert's home and "Home for the Holidays" at the Wilsher's home.

In addition to the tour, there will be an Artist Market and Bake Shop at IberiaBank in Fultondale. Area art and baked goods will be available for purchase with part of the proceeds from the market going to the Fultondale Arts Council. The market will be open from 1 until 5 p.m. and patrons may shop the market before and after they tour the homes. Artists who will have artwork for sale at the market include Linda Holt, Sonia Payne, Jennifer Moore, Fred Mobley, She She and Carolyn Wass.

Tickets for the tour are $10 and can be purchased at IberiaBank in Fultondale, Monday through Friday, Butterflies in Fultondale or at In Full Bloom in Gardendale. Tickets also can be purchased online at the arts council's website at www.fultondaleartscouncil.org by clicking the Eventbrite calendar icon.?? Tickets will be available the day of the event at each of the homes. The co-chairs of the event are?Theresa Leipert?and Leenise Gaddy.

"There are a number of exciting things going on with the Fultondale Arts Council throughout the year that we offer to the community," said Kara Kennedy, chair of the Fultondale Arts Council. "Our holiday home tour gives us a chance to showcase the wonderful support we have from the community as well as the wonderful works of art by our local artists."
