Ford Performance Vehicles (FPV) has ended their decades long run as a semi-independent manufacturer.
As the company's equipment was being removed, workers were putting the finishing touches on the last Falcon GT to leave the factory. It marks a sad milestone as it will become the last hand-built model in the company's history.
Over the summer, Ford agreed to purchase Prodrive's stake in the company. As part of the change, FPV engines will now be built at Ford?s Geelong plant while the cars will be assembled at the company's Campbellfield plant. Unfortunately, FPV's staff will be let go with just five weeks of pay for every year of service.
