The 4^th of July may be on a Wednesday this year, but there?s still plenty going on in Vegas to celebrate our independence.? From fireworks to food specials here?s a listing of events in honor of Independence Day and the nation?s 236^th birthday.

Fireworks

This year five Station Casinos are hosting fireworks displays on July 4. The nine-minute displays will start at 9 p.m. at Stations Casinos around the valley including Aliante Station, Green Valley Ranch Resort and Spa, Fiesta Rancho, Texas Station and Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa.

Caesars Palace is celebrating Independence Day with a fireworks display on July 7. The display will take place on the rooftop of the Roman Tower at 9:15 p.m. The festive display will offer spectators an incredible view from the Las Vegas Strip.

The City of Henderson is honoring the United States with their annual Fourth of July Celebration from 6 ? 9:15 p.m. Located at Mission Hills Park, 551 E. Mission Dr., this free, all-ages event features three stages of live entertainment, a spectacular fireworks show and concessions. Produced by Lantis, the fireworks show will feature an awe-inspiring 18-minute display. Parking for this event will be available at Foothill High School, located on College Drive. A complimentary shuttle service from the location will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Lake Las Vegas is starting the party early with a 4^th of July celebration on June 30. From 6 ? 10 p.m. guests can stroll through The Village shops and restaurants while enjoying live music and barbeque stations set up throughout the area. The barbeque stations will offer food and drinks available for purchase. The festivities will light up at 9 p.m. with a fireworks display.

Food

Central Michel Richard at Caesars Palace?is celebrating with a Great American Cookout on July 7 from 4 ? 9 p.m., the same evening the hotel is hosting a fireworks display (see above). ?Known for his love of American fare, Richard has created a summer-inspired, all-you-can-eat barbeque menu for guests to enjoy before the fireworks. The cookout will be held in the restaurant?s expansive patio area fronting Caesars? famous Roman Plaza.

The mouth-watering menu features meaty main courses including?whole roasted suckling pig, barbecue pulled-pork sandwiches, grilled bratwurst and all-beef hot dogs, grilled barbecue pork ribs and Cajun-grilled flatiron steak. For side dishes the spread features?steak fries, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw and honey-baked beans. ?The cost is $30 per person plus gratuity. The best part is it includes all-you-can-drink brewers? selections from?Tenaya Creek Brewery and Joseph James, as well as an energetic music mix spun by local DJ E.J. Luera.

Nothing says all-American like the classic burger and fries combo at ABX.

American Burger Works (ABX) at Excalibur celebrates red, white and blue by offering a special ?All American? meal?throughout July. The patriotic offering features American fare including a half-pound cheeseburger; a strawberry, vanilla or chocolate milkshake; and ABX?s signature Belgian fries, twice-fried and made with freshly-cut potatoes. Guests also may choose from any of ABX?s 15 delicious dipping sauces such as Chimichurri, Citrus Aioli, Ginger Soy or Black Olive Mayo. The ?All American? is $13.99.

Guests can enjoy festive eats and a great view from the patio overlooking the Strip at Se?or Frog?s Restaurant Bar & Clothesline at Treasure Island. From July 1? ? 7 the restaurant is offering all-American cuisine. Highlights include delectable items such as Sliders (three juicy Angus beef sliders with cheddar cheese and a side of fries) for $12.95; Buffalo chicken wings (wings marinated and tossed in Buffalo sauce, served with celery, carrot sticks and blue cheese dressing) for $10.95 (6) / $15.95 (12); BBQ Combo (ribs, chicken and shrimp served with corn on the cob) and more.

Sushi and the 4^th of July don?t have much in common unless you?re at Rice & Company at the Luxor. Throughout July Rice & Company is offering their special Firework Roll priced at $16. The festive roll is made with spicy tuna, avocado, yellowtail and caviar, wrapped in seaweed and topped with spicy mayo and hot chili sauce. ?When things heat up you can cool down with Rice & Company?s signature Bombshell cocktail made with Absolut Vodka, triple sec, Chambord and Frothee. The $7 cocktail is served over ice and rimmed with pop rocks.

Beef up your patriotism at Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer?at the Excalibur with their Independence Day barbeque platter. On July 4 the restaurant and bar is offering a patriotic platter consisting of three slices of juicy beef brisket, two spare ribs and a hearty sausage link. The platter is priced at $17.76. Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer is also offering the Free Bird cocktail. Made with Red Stag, Citronage, blackberries and lime sour this freedom inducing refreshment is $10.

Imbibing on a Frozen Flagpole Daquiri is what our forefathers would have wanted.

Drinks

Tacos & Tequila at Luxor?lets revelers get into a patriotic state of mind with their 100-ounce Frozen Flagpole Daquiris.

Priced at $35, the daiquiri features layers of frozen flavor including red strawberry daiquiri, white pi?a colada and blue coconut banana served in a 3-foot souvenir cup. The flagpole daiquiri is being offered throughout July. Refills are $25.

Parties

On July 4 guests can start celebrating their independence early with a midday party on the patio at Ruhmbar at the Mirage. From 2 to 6 p.m. Independence Day guests can enjoy $5 vodka mixed drinks, Sweet Strawberry Rum Punch and 16-ounce Coors Light bottles as well as $18 buckets of domestic beer and $8 house cigars.

Starting at 3 p.m., guests may order hookahs and even get patriotic with red, white and blue flavors such as cherry, vanilla and blue mist.

Azure the pool at Palazzo is hosting a red, white and blue weekend with DJs and a poolside barbeque. The festivities start on July 6 at 11 a.m. with DJ Mika Gold. On July 7 revelers can party to beats by Hed Kandi from 12 ? 5 p.m. DJ Roman is spinning on July 8 at 12 ? 5 p.m.

In addition to the DJs, this party features a poolside barbeque with summertime favorites including seasonal fruit salad, macaroni salad, balsamic and honey glazed St. Louis ribs, classic beef sliders, seared chicken skewers, sliced watermelon platter and much more.

Silverton Casino Hotel is celebrating with a party on July 4 at their Sway Pool Lounge. The pool party is 9 a.m. ? 8 p.m. and features multiple food and beer specials throughout the day for only $4. Reggae band Natural Heights will play two sets at 2 ?and 4 p.m. with DJ R.O.B. spinning music to keep the party grooving throughout the day. Admission is $4.

Fremont Street Experience and the Ultimate Fighting Championship are teaming up to host a rocking celebration featuring a free concert from the multiplatinum rock band 3 Doors Down on July 4 at 9 p.m. on the 3^rd Street Stage.

This event also kicks-off the inaugural UFC International Fight Week. On July 4 ? 7 The UFC Octagon Nation Tour is taking over Fremont Street Experience daily from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. for a free, public event. The UFC Octagon Truck, a fully customized 18-wheeler equipped with two Octagon-sized tents, will be on display at the 3rd Street North area, giving fans a chance to meet UFC athletes, play the latest UFC video games, check out cool memorabilia and more.

On July 5 from 6 ? 8 p.m. guests can partake in a downtown pub crawl hosted by UFC fighters. The pub crawl goes to the D Casino Hotel, Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, Golden Nugget Las Vegas and El Cortez Hotel & Casino.

The Springs Preserve is celebrating with Red, White and Tunes on June 30 at 8 p.m. This event features?performances by the UNLV Community Band and other entertainers. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Red, White and Tunes will also include children?s activities.
